Head of the Mongolia-Czech Parliamentary Group, MP B.Enkhbayar received Mr. Jan Vytopil, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Mongolia

On 25th May, 2022, Mr. B.Enkhbayar, Member of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia, Head of the Mongolia-Czech Parliamentary Group received Mr. Jan Vytopil, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Mongolia.

 

Mr. B.Enkhbayar, Member of the State Great Hural and Head of the Mongolia-Czech Parliamentary Group in the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia noted he was pleased with the appointment of an experienced and career-diplomat to Mongolia and expressed his willingness to support in all aspects the further development of the traditionally friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries. 

The Member of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia further noted he was gratified that the Czech parliament is currently discussing the ratification of the Social Security Agreement between the two countries. He stated, “The approval of this agreement will play a pivotal role for the well-being of the people of our two countries. I would like to note that during my tenure as the Head of the General Office of Social Insurance, I was a part of the Working Group on the establishment of a bilateral agreement on cooperation in this field. I am pleased results are beginning to show.” Also, Mr. G.Enkhbayar stressed the critical role of people-to-people and private sector relations in expanding and bringing bilateral cooperation to expansion a new level.

 

Ambassador Jan Vytopil expressed his willingness to work towards further enriching bilateral economic relations, increasing trade turnover, and expanding the scope of projects and programs being conducted in the field of education and the environment.

The Czech Government initiates a number of projects and programs in Mongolia, one of them being the Project on the Reintroduction of the Przewalski's horse – currently being planned and studied to be reintroduced in eastern Mongolia. A research team led by Miroslav Bobek, Director of the Prague Zoo, have arrived in Mongolia to conduct the relevant studies. The Ambassador further informed Mr. G.Enkhbayar that he plans on working toward increasing the number of employment visas and student intake quotas in the Czech student exchange programs. 

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on inter-parliamentary relations and cooperation in the sectors of trade, economy, social protection, education, science, culture, environment and the Project on the Reintroduction of the Przewalski's Horse.

The parties expressed their willingness to cooperate in further intensifying cooperation in the aforementioned areas. They also noted the important role of friendship groups, which are a key mechanism for promoting bilateral relations, including inter-parliamentary cooperation.
