ANNOUNCEMENT: PROJECT ADMIN AND FINANCE OFFICER


    The Secretariat of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia is implementing a sub-project “Strengthening Parliamentary Democracy in Mongolia” in cooperation with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. The project aims to strengthen democratic governance in Mongolia. The project aims to strengthen the performance of the national parliament in the new context of the Constitutional Amendment and governance system by consolidating the achievements of MPS and SPS collaboration.

 

    Responsibilities and duties:

    The Admin and Finance Officer (AFO) is responsible for effective delivery of project implementation support services ensuring effective operational management of the project, transparent utilisation of financial resources. The Admin and Finance Officer promotes a collaborative, client-oriented approach consistent with SDC and national rules and regulations. The Admin and Finance Officer works in close collaboration with the respective Project Implementing Unit (PIU) and MPS teams ensuring successful project and compliance in project management and finance.

 

Requirements:

-        A bachelor’s (master degree is preferable) degree in Accounting (equivalent) with a minimum of 3 year of accounting/auditing experience, including project financial management;

-        Working knowledge of finance and accounting systems, and excellent computer skills, especially Ms Excel;

-        Thorough understanding of laws and regulations of Mongolia;

-        Good understanding of finance and accounting practices in Mongolia;

-        Have an ability to manage time effectively between varying tasks;

-        Have an excellent written and spoken Mongolian and English language skill;

-        Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment ;

-        Have an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
