Parliament supports to appoint Ambassadors of Mongolia to the Republic of Korea, the State of Kuwait, and the Swiss Confederation

January 18, 2022. At the plenary session of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia, one of the issues resolved was to support on appointment of Ambassadors of Mongolia to foreign states.

In particular, Ms. Sarantsogos Erdenetsogt is appointed to serve as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Korea.

Mr. Sergelen Purev as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the State of Kuwait and Ms. Gerelmaa Davaasuren to serve as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Swiss Confederation.

Yesterday, Foreign Policy Advisor to the President of Mongolia E.Odbayar submitted the President’s proposal on the recall and appointment of ambassadors to the Chairman of the Parliament G.Zandanshatar.

According to the proposal, the incumbent Ambassador of Mongolia to the Republic of Korea Namsrai Erdenetuya is recalled and to appoint Ms. E.Sarantsogos as new Ambassador to the Republic of Korea. Moreover, Ambassador of Mongolia to the State of Kuwait Z.Chintushig was recalled and to appoint Mr. P.Sergelen as Ambassador of Mongolia to Kuwait, and Ms. D.Gerelmaa as Ambassador of Mongolia to the Swiss Confederation. The issue was reviewed yesterday at the Standing Committee on Security and Foreign Policy of the State Great Hural and today the Parliament supports the proposal.
