On July 15, 2016, Chairman of the State Great Hural (Parliament) M.Enkhbold met with Robert Fico, Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic.

At the beginning of meeting, Chairman M.Enkhbold noted that Mongolia and the Slovak Republic are connected with a long history of traditional and friendly ties, the two countries both successfully implemented reforms and the transition to a market economy.

“Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, high-level reciprocal visits have not been conducted up to date, therefore taking this opportunity, we are ready to implement top-level visits. Mongolia is working towards establishment bilateral agreements that will have a great effect in stimulating bilateral trade and economic cooperation, namely an agreement on promoting and protecting investments and an agreement on development of economic cooperation”, added Chairman M.Enkhbold.

Premier R.Fico agreed with initiations forwarded and affirmed to consider on ways and opportunities to strengthen bilateral relations in economy, trade and investment.
