Executive Committee of Mongolian Inter-Parliamentary Group

The Inter-Parliamentary Union is the global organization of national parliaments. The organization was established in Paris in 1889 as a small group of parliamentarians, dedicated to promoting peace through parliamentary diplomacy and dialogue, has since grown into a truly global organization with 179 Members and 14 Associate Members.

Mongolia joined the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in 1962,

The national Inter-Parliamentary Group consisting of members of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia operates at the State Great Hural as a voluntary public organization. The Executive Committee of Mongolian Inter-Parliamentary Group biannually convokes the regular meeting of the MIGP.

Mongolian Inter-Parliamentary Group were chaired by the following parliamentarians: S.Zorig, a member of the People’s Great Hural in 1990-1992, N.Bagabandi, the Chairman of the State Great Hural in 1992-1996, Ts.Elbegorj, the Vice-Chairman of the State Great Hural in 1996-2000, J.Byambadorj, the Vice-Chairman of the State Great Hural in 2000-2004, K.Sairaan, a parliament member in 2004-2008 and N.Enkhbold and G.Batkhuu, the Vice-Chairmen of the State Great Hural in 2008-2012 /by 2 year rotation/, S.Bayartsogt, the Vice-Chairman of the State Great Hural in 2012-2013, R.Gonchigdorj, the Vice-Chairman of the State Great Hural in 2013-2016.

In the Parliamentary term of 2016-2020, the Executive Committee of Mongolian Inter-Parliamentary Group was chaired by MP L.Enkh-Amgalan, by MP S.Erdene as Vice-Chairman of the Committee and parliamentarians N.Enkhbold, D.Sarangerel, D.Murat, Z.Narantuya L.Oyun-Erdene O.Sodbileg, N.Uchral as members of the Executive Committee.

In 2020-2024, the Executive Committee of Mongolian Inter-Parliamentary Group is chaired by MP L.Munkhbaatar, where MP O.Tsogtgerel as Vice-Chairman of the Committee and parliamentarians S.Odontuya, D.Batlut, Kh.Bulgantuya, M.Oyunchimeg, N.Uchral, D.Tsogtbaatar and L.Enkh-Amgalan as members of the Committee.
