Chairman of the State Great Hural G.Zandanshatar met with Senator of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Asem Rakhmetova

The Chairman of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia Mr.Gombojav Zandanshatar received Ms. Asem Rakhmetova, a senator of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, who is participating as a special guest in the “Trans-Altai Sustainability Dialogue” on April 25, 2024.


At the beginning of the meeting, Mr.Zandanshatar thanked the guest for accepting the invitation to participate in the "Trans-Altai Sustainability Dialogue". In return, Ms.Rakhmetova expressed her gratitude for the invitation for the Dialogue and conveyed the warm greetings of Mr. Maulen Aşimbaev, the Chairman of the Senate of Kazakhstan. She noted that Mongolia is an important partner of Kazakhstan and emphasized the importance of bilateral agreements between our two countries and that there is no doubt that the possible state visit of the President of Kazakhstan Mr.Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Mongolia will be successful. Ms.Rakhmetova also expressed her wish to take the mechanism for cooperation between the Parliaments of the two countries to a new height.


In response, Mr.Gombojav Zandanshatar expressed his satisfaction with the development of traditional friendly relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Kazakhstan in more than 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. He also noted that talks at the highest levels between the two countries have become regular and that the cooperation between legislative bodies plays a major role in the expansion and development of relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Kazakhstan, as well as in strengthening political mutual trust and understanding. Mr.Zandanshatar mentioned that the Mongolian side accepted the request of the Kazakhstani side to establish the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Bayan-Olgii Province of Mongolia and that a diplomatic note had been sent in January.

           

Ms.Rakhmetova commended the successful organization of the "Trans-Altai Sustainbility Dialogue - 2024" and agreed that the two countries have been committed to strengthening their friendly relations and cooperation, reports the Media and Public Relations Department of the State Great Hural of Mongolia.
