In frameworks of his official visit to Japan (March 28, 2017), Chairman of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia Mr. Miyegombo ENKHBOLD held bilateral meetings with Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan Mr. Tadamori Oshima and Speaker of the House of Councillors of Japan Mr. Chuichi Date respectively.
During the meetings, parties exchanged views on inter-parliamentary and other spheres of relations and cooperation.
Chairman M.Enkhbold stressed, “It has been passed 45 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, but compare to then, the bilateral cooperation between the two countries have been rapidly grown in recent decades. As a fact of this progressive collaboration, the comprehensive partnership forwarded into a strategic partnership from 1996. Mongolian people grateful for your every support to deepen implementation of the objectives of democratic reform and changes and transition to a market economy in the country”.
Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan T.Oshima highlighted that the mutual cooperation should not focus on government-level but also inter-parliamentary collaboration is also important. “To recall, HE Mr.Enkhbold managed a sincere assistance during the earthquake that occurred in Japan in 2011, when he was then Mongolia’s Deputy Prime Minister and chaired the working group to commemorate the 40 anniversary of diplomatic ties. Therefore, our government and people have great reverence for your efforts. The government and people of Japan will be further supporting Mongolia’s progressive development”, added Mr.Oshima.
After, Mongolian parliamentarians headed by Chairman M.Enkhbold held a meeting with Speaker of the House of Councillors of Japan Ch.Date, where parties exchanged views on up to date fruitful cooperation and further actions of sustainable collaboration in economic, financial and strategic partnership.
