On April 16, 2025, the Chairman of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia, D. Amarbayasgalan, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Mongolia, Corinne Perera Da Silva.
At the beginning of the meeting, Chairman D. Amarbayasgalan emphasized that developing mutually beneficial cooperation with the French Republic, one of Mongolia's "third neighbors" and a close and trusted partner in Europe, is a key goal of Mongolia's foreign policy.
He also expressed his aspiration to strengthen and maintain the momentum of the growing bilateral cooperation between the two countries in recent years, aiming to elevate Mongolia-France relations to the level of a strategic partnership based on mutual trust and shared values.
Ambassador Corinne Perera Da Silva highlighted the importance of parliamentary friendship groups in further expanding the relationship based on shared values and expressed her confidence that the cooperation between the two countries would continue to grow.
She also noted that, in addition to major economic projects and programs, collaboration in various sectors, including public security, urban planning, public transportation, and agriculture, is actively progressing.
This year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the French Republic.
