Employees of the Secretariat of the State Great Hural (Parliament) planted trees at the “Turgenii” Park

By decree of the President of Mongolia, since 2010, the second Saturday of May and October each year has been designated as the National Tree Planting Day for all citizens.

On these days, the people of Mongolia—including households, government and non-government organizations, businesses, development partners, and donors—are encouraged to actively participate in planting, caring for, and nurturing trees and shrubs, as well as to promote and spread awareness of these activities.

In line with this call, today (2025.05.10), employees of the Secretariat of the State Great Hural (Parliament) planted trees at the Urgent Care Kindergarten located in the 14th Khoroo of Khan-Uul District. The spring tree planting event also included participation from the leadership of the Secretariat, other staff members, employees of the capital city’s government and administrative bodies, business entities, organizations, and citizens.

The employees of the Secretariat planted over 60 trees and shrubs of three species—Scots pine, fir, and Siberian elm—contributing substantially to increasing green spaces.

This spring’s tree planting campaign involved more than 50 organizations from both the public and private sectors, as well as individual citizens. A total of over ten tree species, including willow, sea buckthorn, juniper, Scots pine, poplar, fir, pine, and Siberian elm, were planted, according to the Press Office of the State Great Hural (Parliament).
