Member of Parliament J. Bayarmaa received and met with Ina Marchulyonyte, the Ambassador of the European Union to Mongolia

Member of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia and member of the Mongolia-European Parliamentary Cooperation Group, J. Bayarmaa, today (2025.05.12) received and met with Ina Marchulyonyte, the Ambassador of the European Union to Mongolia.


Member of Parliament J. Bayarmaa emphasized that Mongolia aims to develop effective and mutually beneficial cooperation with the European Union and its member states across all socio-economic sectors within the framework of the Third Neighbor Policy.

She highlighted that the European Union and its member countries have consistently supported and assisted Mongolia through its democratic, social, and economic transformations and reforms. She also noted that Mongolia-EU relations and cooperation continue to expand.


Ambassador Marchulyonyte mentioned that the relationship between the European Union and Mongolia is based on shared values such as democracy, human rights, and the rule of law, and expressed readiness to cooperate further to ensure human rights and the freedom to express opinions freely.

She also provided information about the upcoming first “Business and Investment Forum” between the European Union and Mongolia, scheduled to take place in Ulaanbaatar on October 13-14, 2025.


At the conclusion of the meeting, Member of Parliament J. Bayarmaa expressed hope that the European Union would continue to focus on strengthening democracy, protecting human rights and freedoms—including freedom of speech, expression, and press—and expressed a desire for ongoing cooperation in these areas.
