Chairman of the State Great Hural, D. Amarbayasgalan, paid a visit today (June 2, 2025) to Serdar Berdymukhamedov, President of Turkmenistan, who is on a state visit to Mongolia.
At the beginning of the meeting, Chairman D. Amarbayasgalan expressed his confidence that this first-ever state visit at the presidential level since diplomatic relations were established between Mongolia and Turkmenistan in 1992 would significantly strengthen the historic ties, friendship, and cooperation between the two peoples and contribute importantly to expanding the friendly relations and collaboration between the two countries.
He noted the ongoing efforts to establish and develop parliamentary ties and cooperation between the State Great Hural of Mongolia and the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, emphasizing the importance of further strengthening cooperation among Mongolia-Turkmenistan friendship groups, standing committees, and parliamentary administrations.
Serdar Berdymukhamedov, President of Turkmenistan, highlighted the strengthening of the legal framework underpinning bilateral relations. He expressed his support for deepening friendly relations, expanding trade and economic cooperation, and enhancing connections among youth and women of both countries.
The parties exchanged views on implementing proposals and initiatives for cooperation and discussed issues related to international and regional affairs.
