Today (June 27, 2025), Foreign Minister B. Battsetseg submitted to the Chairman of the State Great Hural (Parliament), D. Amarbayasgalan, a draft resolution on establishing diplomatic relations with four countries.
Pursuant to the 2013 decision of the Standing Committee on Security and Foreign Policy of the State Great Hural (Parliament), efforts have been made to establish diplomatic relations with all UN member states. As a result, joint official statements have been signed to establish diplomatic relations with the Kingdom of Eswatini, the Republic of Barbados, the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, and the Republic of Botswana.
Following cooperation with the relevant parties, the establishment of diplomatic relations with these four countries has been formalized, and the Foreign Minister B. Battsetseg reported that Mongolia’s goal of establishing diplomatic relations with all 192 UN member states has now been fully achieved.
It was also emphasized that only a few countries in the world have established diplomatic relations with all UN member states. This achievement reflects Mongolia’s active diplomatic engagement and its foreign policy, which values peace, openness, independence, and a multi-faceted approach.
