Chairman of the State Great Hural of Mongolia, Amarbayasgalan Dashzegve, held an official meeting with the Speaker of the House of Commons of the United Kingdom, Sir Lindsay Hoyle, on July 31, 2025.
During the meeting, it was highlighted that the agreements reached during the official visit of the Chairman of the State Great Hural to the United Kingdom have been successfully implemented as a result of joint efforts by both sides.
Chairman of the State Great Hural, Amarbayasgalan Dashzegve, expressed his appreciation for the visit of a delegation led by Fabian Hamilton, Chair of the UK Parliament’s Inter-Parliamentary Union Group, to Mongolia in June 2025. During their visit, the delegation held productive discussions with members of the Standing Committees, which the Chairman welcomed as a positive step in strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The Parliamentary Research and Development Institute of the State Great Hural has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Mongolia and Inner Asia Studies Unit (MIASU) at the University of Cambridge. This cooperation enables participation in joint projects, utilization of research findings in parliamentary policymaking and legislative reforms, and the publication of collaborative works.
In addition, appreciation was expressed for the United Kingdom’s continued support in providing English language teachers to Mongolia and for allocating a dedicated annual budget for this purpose.
Speaker of the House of Commons of the United Kingdom, Sir Lindsay Hoyle, emphasized his commitment to deepening cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries. He highlighted the importance of advancing bilateral relations and cooperation across all sectors.
