D. Enkhtuvshin, Deputy Chair of the Mongolia-Singapore Parliamentary Group, received and met with the Senior Minister of State of the Republic of Singapore, Sim Ann

MPs D. Enkhtuvshin, Deputy Chair, and P. Ganzorig, member of the Mongolia-Singapore Parliamentary Group in the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia, received and met today (21 August 2025) with Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Singapore.

 


MP D. Enkhtuvshin, Deputy Chair of the Mongolia-Singapore Parliamentary Group in the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia, noted that this year marks the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries and introduced the Mongolia-Singapore Parliamentary Group, which currently consists of 10 members.

 


The Republic of Singapore is an important partner for Mongolia in Southeast Asia and an influential member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Deputy Chair D. Enkhtuvshin emphasized the significance of expanding and developing friendly relations and cooperation with the Republic of Singapore.

 


The parties exchanged information about their parliaments and agreed on further cooperation at both parliamentary and foreign policy levels. Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Singapore, noted that the two countries are similarly positioned among major powers and uphold democratic societies with people-centered policies.

 

Senior Minister of State Sim Ann also expressed her pleasure at visiting Mongolia for the first time and appreciated the warm reception.
