To strengthen trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, a document on cooperation was signed with the Financial Regulatory Commission and the Astana International Financial Centre

Chairman D. Amarbayasgalan of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia, together with Members of Parliament, visited the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) to learn about financial investments, advanced facilities, and the internal structure and organization of the center.

Kazakhstan is notable for accounting for 6 percent of the region’s gross domestic product and for being a leading player in attracting foreign investment in Central Asia.

The center operates with the goal of attracting investment and creating a financial services ecosystem across multiple sectors, including an international stock exchange, private banking, Islamic finance, and financial technology. To protect the rights of foreign investors, the country has established an independent international arbitration court separate from its domestic judiciary. It has created a legal framework based on “common law,” the system used in the United States and the United Kingdom, providing a trustworthy environment for international investors. In recent years, the country’s financial environment has stabilized, and economic growth has increased. The Astana International Financial Centre hosts over 4,200 registered companies, offering a favorable, active ecosystem and opportunities for successful business operations.

Chairman D. Amarbayasgalan of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia expressed agreement that a stable and well-regulated financial environment is the key lever for attracting investors. He shared plans to implement tax and legal reforms in Mongolia aimed at increasing investment in the country. He also emphasized the importance of expanding business networks to strengthen trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. Consequently, the Financial Regulatory Commission of Mongolia signed a cooperation document with the Astana International Financial Centre.
