Chairman of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia D. Amarbayasgalan received H.E. Almas Seitakynov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Mongolia

Chairman of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia D. Amarbayasgalan today (29 August 2025) received H.E. Almas Seitakynov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Mongolia.

At the outset of the meeting, Chairman D. Amarbayasgalan congratulated Ambassador Seitakynov on his appointment and wished him success in his work. He noted that Kazakhstan, with its deep historical, cultural, and traditional ties to Mongolia, is an important partner for Mongolia in Central Asia and has maintained active relations and cooperation across all sectors.

Chairman D. Amarbaysgalan highlighted that during President K. Tokayev’s state visit to Mongolia last year, the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries were elevated to the level of a Strategic Partnership, making Kazakhstan the first country in Central Asia with which Mongolia has established such a partnership. He also emphasized that his official meeting with Erlan Koshanov, Chair of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, during the 6th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Geneva in July was an important step in enhancing inter-parliamentary cooperation.

Ambassador Almas Seitakynov reaffirmed that Mongolia is Kazakhstan’s most trusted partner in Asia. He expressed his commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and strategic partnership, expanding cooperation, implementing joint trade and economic projects and programs, and translating agreed-upon initiatives into tangible results to further solidify the bridge of friendship between the two countries.

Both sides exchanged views on developing cooperation in agriculture, transport, science, education, culture, and information technology.
