Chairman of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia D. Amarbayasgalan extended greetings on the occasion of Mother Language Day and the beginning of the new academic year

Honorable teachers and educators,

Dear students and learners,

Respected parents and guardians,

On the occasion of Mother Language Day and the beginning of the new academic year, I extend my warmest greetings to all of you.

Mongolia regards education as one of its most valuable assets and as a key driver of development and progress. Today, our focus is not limited solely to textbooks and curricula, rather, it is essential to pay closer attention to the holistic environment for each student, including a supportive learning atmosphere, psychological well-being, and social relationships.

Every child has the right to attend school in a safe, healthy, and positive environment. In this regard, the state’s school lunch program is not merely aimed at alleviating hunger but represents a national policy critical for children’s health, growth, and active engagement in learning. Our goal is to further improve the quality and accessibility of this program and to ensure that every child benefits without discrimination.

Additionally, peer pressure, bullying, and discrimination within schools affect not only individual children but the future of society as a whole. Overcoming these challenges requires the combined efforts of teachers, parents, the state, and the community. Together, we must create a society where every child can take pride in their unique abilities and be recognized and accepted.

The quality of education is shaped by the learning environment, including classrooms, sports and arts facilities, libraries, and information technology infrastructure. Therefore, the state is committed to investing in these areas and ensuring equal opportunities for all children.

Dear teachers, you are the foundation of knowledge and the greatest role models in shaping character. I extend my gratitude for your work in nurturing children—the future leaders of Mongolia—helping them grow into responsible, knowledgeable, and capable individuals.

To students and young learners, I wish you great academic achievements, joy in friendship, and renewed motivation and confidence in the new school year. To parents and guardians, I express my appreciation for your active participation in your children’s education and wish you every success and happiness.

By valuing and preserving our mother tongue, respecting the importance of education, and fostering safe, healthy, and humane learning environments, we fulfill our shared goal.
