Asian women parliamentarians to convene in Mongolia to discuss policies for a sustainable future

The State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia, in cooperation with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation of the Federal Republic of Germany, will host the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Asian Women Parliamentarians’ Caucus in Ulaanbaatar on September 15–16, 2025.


Since 2011, the Asian Women Parliamentarians’ Group has held annual meetings aimed at promoting women’s political leadership and strengthening capacities in the region. MP B. Jargalan, President of the Democratic Women’s Association, serves as a member of the group and initiated the organization of this year’s meeting in Mongolia.


The “Asian Women Parliamentarians’ Meeting–2025” will be held under the theme “Advancing Gender Equality through Economic Empowerment: Policies for a Sustainable Future.”

Discussions will focus on women’s participation in the labor market, fiscal policies, artificial intelligence and digital financial inclusion, recognition of care work, entrepreneurship, access to financing, and the role and engagement of parliaments. Legislators from 13 Asian countries will take part in the meeting.
