In celebration of the 35th anniversary of Mongolia’s permanent parliament, the “Parliament Grove” was established

Today, September 13, 2025, marks the 35th anniversary of Mongolia’s permanent parliament. As part of the celebrations, the “Parliament Grove” was established at the National Garden.

The inauguration of the “Parliament Grove” and the tree-planting ceremony was opened by former Chairman of the State Baga Hural and academician R. Gonchigdorj, who delivered a speech. At the beginning of his remarks, he extended congratulations on the anniversary of the establishment of Mongolia’s permanent parliament and expressed his delight that this special day, September 13, had begun with such a wonderful event.

He also said, “Exactly 35 years ago, on September 13, 1990, the State Baga Hural held its inaugural session. Members took their oaths, exercised their powers, and began a new chapter in the history of Mongolia’s parliament. Thirty-five years ago, our decisions were about wielding state authority, but today, we make decisions to plant trees and perform this virtuous act that leaves a mark on our Earth. May the trees we plant grow and fill the fields.”

During the event, the National Garden, a locally owned budgetary organization, planted 124 trees in celebration of the anniversary of the establishment of Mongolia’s permanent parliament. In recognition of their tangible contribution to enhancing the surrounding green spaces and reforestation projects, a certificate of appreciation was presented, which was received by U. Amarbat, Deputy Secretary of the State Great Hural (Parliament).
