Mongolia and the Russian Federation commemorate the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations


The Vice Chairman and other members of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia have participated in a virtual meeting “Together for 100 years”, a part to a series of friendship event.

For the occasion of the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations established between Mongolia and the Russian Federation, a series of friendship event themed "Together for 100 years" is commencing.

Opening of the event was launched by a virtual meeting on February 25, 2021. The attending officials from both Mongolia and the Russian Federation have commenced the meeting dedicated for the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations, coincidentally the 40th anniversary of Mongolia-Soviet joint space journey by exchanging opinions on humanitarian, cultural and economic sectors’ cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, Mrs. S.Odontuya, a Vice Chairman of the State Great Hural and a Joint Head of the Mongolia-Russia Parliamentary Group has noted the significance of the Russian Federation as the first country to celebrate 100 years of diplomatic relations with Mongolia.

Mr. N.Enkhbold, a member of the State Great Hural and the other Joint Head of the Mongolia-Russia Parliamentary Group has further discussed about the upcoming events to commemorate the 100th anniversary and recalled the "Agreement on Friendly Relations and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Mongolia and the Russian Federation" which was signed, over the course, for an indefinite period.

At the end of the meeting, the next meeting of the series was agreed to be organized in the city of Novosibirsk, the Russian Federation. The series of the event will take place until October 28, 2021.
