The Chairman of the State Great Hural of Mongolia S.Byambatsogt received H.E. Ms. Shen Minjuan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Mongolia, on July 10, 2026.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on further strengthening parliamentary cooperation and deepening trade and economic relations within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Mongolia and China.
The Chairman S.Byambatsogt highly appreciated Ambassador Shen Minjuan's valuable contribution to expanding bilateral cooperation, strengthening the friendship between the peoples of the two countries, and promoting parliamentary relations during her tenure in Mongolia.
The Chairman expressed his confidence that Ambassador Shen would continue to support the successful organization of the regular meeting between the State Great Hural of Mongolia and the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China, which is scheduled to be held in Beijing later this year.
Additionally, The Chairman noted that the adoption of the Law on Business Freedom during the Spring Session of the State Great Hural has contributed to creating a more stable investment environment for investors. He further emphasized that the amendments to the Law on Petroleum have helped resolve tax- and payment-related issues concerning PetroChina Daqing Tamsag LLC.
The Chairman also expressed his hope that further efforts to turn Mongolia–China seasonal border crossings, especially the Baitag–Uliastai border crossing, into permanent crossings.
Both sides highlighted the steady progress across all areas of bilateral cooperation and noted the positive outcomes of major joint projects under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
H.E. Ms. Shen Minjuan expressed her gratitude to Chairman S. Byambatsogt for his support. She noted that, through close cooperation with the State Great Hural and the Government of Mongolia, the two sides had successfully advanced several major projects, including the construction of the cross-border railway connecting the Gashuunsuhait and Gantsmod border ports, the Erdeneburen Hydropower Plant project, and the commissioning of the Ulaanbaatar Central Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The Ambassador also expressed her hope that the State Great Hural would continue to support the expansion and deepening of bilateral cooperation in emerging fields such as science, innovation, mineral resources, and artificial intelligence.
